Yellow Cardigan

Not much sewing to report over here at Chez Nibbles. My parents and my brother came to visit and we spent most of the weekend outdoors, enjoying the sun and the surf. What little time we did spend inside, revolved around eating, drinking and being merry! =) I love my family. On the sewing related front, I did hem some jeans for my mom but that's not too exciting. Before they came I managed to finish a simple cardi-wrap top thing that I had been wanting to make for awhile. I wanted something that I could throw into my bag or purse that would allow me to stay somewhat warm in over air-conditioned rooms.

Fabric:
Yellow RPL from Joann's. Gah, I love this stuff. It's the same stuff that I used for the Loeffler Randall knockoff. I'm sad they don't offer it in a wider variety of colors as I just can't get enough of it. It's doubly great because I score this at a heavy discount by using those 40% off coupons in the mail.

I *really* like that. Did you make that up yourself?

I would love to have something like that, maybe even with long sleeves! Did you use a pattern or did you just wing it?

So effortless and easy breezy looking. You are quite the designer lately!

It's beautiful (the pleats detail in the back is great) and I love that mustard yellow. Congrats!

Thanks! I based it loosely off of a sweater jacket that I own and just sort of winged the rest.

I love the color, the pleating along the back is a wonderful touch and it's just so pretty.

I love your cardigan. What pattern did you use?

I, too, love the cardigan and the color. And, again, what pattern or is it self-drafted? Hoping you have time to answer. Sally

Hi Sally!

Thank you for the nice comment.
This cardigan was self drafted but the fabric
is from Joanns, it's kind of expensive but so very worth it.
